THE AUTHOR

Taro Miura was born in Aichi, Japan in 1968. He studied silkscreen printing at the Osaka University of Art and now works as an illustrator. In 2001, he was chosen to exhibit his work at the Illustrators’ Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and in 2003 was invited back for four consecutive years. He was awarded the Sankei Children’s Literature Culture Award in 2011 for his book Chiisa na osama (The Tiny King). Ton was his first book published in Italy. With Corraini, Taro Miura has published Arnesi (Tools) (2005), Construction Site (2007) and Workman stencil (2014).
